2nd post of the year.....

Well, I was just reading through my list of New Year's resolutions on my previous post and realized I am not doing so hot on a couple of them. Mainly the blog more resolution and the recipe review resolution. The workout resolution is going well, still going to the gym several times a week (don't want to talk about this to much because then I will get coined as one of those people that talks about working out all the time...haha!) and kids continue to enjoy the nursery (or whatever you want to call it!) So with that I am going to make my next post a PW's recipe review. I have made several throughout the last couple of months and will give you a little blurb on each one eventually!

Happy New Year

Well, It's only been over 2 years since my last blog post. And one (of my many) New Years Resolutions was to become a better blogger! (Mainly because I am jealous when I look at other people's blogs that I don't have the same thing and because I would be able to look back and easily be reminded of the great memories my little family is making.) So speaking of New Year's Resolutions I really haven't written then down anywhere to make them official they are just all in my head.....

So here is a few of them:
1. Start Working Out....I have been paying for a gym membership that I haven't used since before we got married (2006!). (Don't tell Jake bc he's kind of a tight ass and if he knew I (he) was paying for an unused membership he might have a coronary.) Well, I decided enough was enough and signed up at the new gym (old one closed) and dove in head first and signed up with a trainer. So far I have really enjoyed it, I will take that back, Love it! My kids love to go to the nursery, I like the fact that I am doing something for myself and this trainer is totally kicking my butt! He started having me use these gravity machines, Love It! Except for the fact that on a normal day you don't really pay attention to certain parts of your body... for instance your underarms. Really the only time I think about them is to put deodorant on in the morning....well needless to say, they are on FIRE! I didn't realize those muscles could hurt SO bad. This morning I had to syke myself up to just get dressed, it is painful!

2. I have recently fell in love with "The Pioneer Woman". Her cookbook is fabulous and her website is even better! So one of my other resolutions is to make all of her recipes in her book. (And yes, any of you who know who I am talking about know that this resolution totally contradicts the first one....) So I will try to blog about each one that I make then you can go to her website and try them for yourself!

3. Stop spending money! (Well, on ridiculous things that is...) I have started to limit myself to one Target trip a week. And try to go to the grocery store only once a week also. Jake and I have a little bet going to see what the credit card bill is this month....:)

4. Be a kinder more considerate less selfish person. Don't really need to explain that one just want to be more conscious of my actions and the words that come out of my mouth!

Well, that's all for now! Let's see how I do on this whole blogging thing!

The Best $60 We have Ever Spent!!

We decided the night before we were to leave for Turks that we needed to figure out a way to have some tunes on the beach....well Target came thru for us in an unimaginable way..... "THE BOOMBASTIC" (this was my nickname for the ipod docking station) This thing is no bigger than a clutch purse and I'm telling you it puts out some rock'n tunes!! We will never leave home without it. And yes this is a picture of my Totally 80's husband rocking out to AC/DC!! Too Funny.

Turk's... HERE WE COME!!!

G thought he was just going to squeeze into my bag unnoticed.... I don't think so! Mommy needs a few days off! Grandma Ronda here we come....

Sorry!

Ok all you blog stalkers..... I have to appologize, I'm a bad mom and a bad blogger... I haven't updated my blog forever and I am going to try to do better! It's been a crazy couple of months and if I told you my reasoning behind why I haven't updated it you would all probably laugh..... ok, well my hubby got me a blackberry and I swear that is the whole reason I haven't been updating. Basically I can do everything with my email etc from the dang blackberry, so with that I hardly ever sit down at my computer anymore. AND... I have been trying to convince Jake that I need a laptop so that I can be more mobile along with the Gman but so far that hasn't been going so well. So wish me luck!!

You Gotta Love Garage Sales!

Ok so really I have got some of the cutest things at garage sales lately. And some of them are those things that you hate to spend a lot of money on because he may only wear them like once but when you only spend $1 it doesn't matter! Although my philosophy on garage sales is that you have to hit a lot of bad ones before you get a good one. I have went to some good ones lately so I am for sure doomed for the next few months!! This hat was too cute to pass up and Greyson just loved it, he was mad when I took it off of him!! Too Funny!

Rock Chalk!

Jake and I were headed to the KU game so we thought we better get the Gman all dressed up also. Jake was very proud of this family photo....one for the books! Go Hawks!

My Two Front Teeth!!

Yep, he got em! His two bottom front teeth came in at the exact same time. Compared to the nightmares we had heard it really was pretty painless (for us at least) and Gman really seemed to take it quite well. We figured at least one was about to bust through considering the extremely snotty nose, the drooling that would never stop and sudden hault to sleeping though the night!! Which by the way he had me so spoiled with sleeping through the night I felt like I had a newborn again. He has been sleeping through the night since he was 8 weeks old!

Lydie and Maddie

The Konrade girls came to visit us for an entire week and let me tell you I was so sad to send them home. They were like having to little mother hens running around the house constantly. They were so much help and they loved playing with Greyson. Madelyn would wake up every morning and the first thing out of her mouth would be "Barbie, what can I clean today??" And then one day Lydia came to me and said, " You know what I really want to do?? I want to wash windows!" I really quick ran and got the Windex and some towels and said you go to town girlfriend! Anyways, I told them they could come back whenever they wanted. They are just the sweetest things ever, I hope I have girls just like them!! I miss them so much.

CEREAL!!!

Well, we tried some cereal for the first time last noc and I would have to say it was a success! He really didn't know what to do at first but by the time we got 10 spoonfuls in he would get ticked if I didn't shovel it in! Can't believe he's already 4 months old!

My latest creation!

For Stampede I decided to test my creativity and make Pepsi logo sugar cookies! Where in the world I found time, I have no idea!! But I didn't think they turned out to shabby.... and they acutally tasted pretty darn good too!! That's always a bonus!

The $5.00 Mirror

So how many hundreds of dollars of toys do we have at our house and the only thing the kid wants to play with is the $5.00 full length mirror. And not only does he love it Abby can't get enough of it either. They just sit there side by side! Pretty cute!

"I finally found it!!"

Greyson has been searching for his thumb for weeks! Every single picture that I have of him he has his hands in his mouth....talk about oral fixation.

Well, he finally found! During our trip to Target he found and he wouldn't let it go the whole rest of the day! I can't decide if this is good or bad.....I can take a bink away but what am to do about the thumb.....
